About Hannah

Hannah Robinson (she/her) is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor and fat positive provider who holds a Bachelor of Science in Food Nutrition and Health with Honours from the University of British Columbia. She has ten years of experience working as a clinical dietitian at St Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver BC, including working in the Provincial Adult Tertiary Specialized Eating Disorder Program since 2014.

She works with clients with eating disorders and disordered eating, and uses a non-diet and weight-inclusive approach. She is passionate about helping her clients to understand the science behind their bodies and nutrition, so they are able to challenge diet beliefs and live a life with food freedom.

In addition to her clinical work, she co-hosts the Let Us Eat Cake podcast, which is a podcast dedicated to ditching diet culture and taking the BS out of “health” and “wellness”.

Approach

I recognize that reaching out and making the decision to explore your relationship with food can be a deeply personal and a difficult step. Please know it is my goal to create a welcoming and safe environment, that is free from judgement and shame. I believe food is so much more than its nutrients, and seek to help clients discover truly satisfying ways of eating that provide nourishment for both physical health and mental well-being. I am committed to providing inclusive care to all individuals, regardless of background, identity or body size. As a practitioner living with thin privilege, I recognize the importance of acknowledging and addressing the systemic inequalities that exist in healthcare and in our culture. I practice trauma-informed care, and am continuously educating myself with the Health At Every Size (HAES) framework to best provide fat positive, weight-inclusive care to all patients. I hope you’ll find science, empathy and humour included in each of our sessions together.
